The Nigeria U-23 team on Monday, August 22 arrived back in the country after winning bronze at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The Dream Team VI beat Honduras on Saturday, August 20 3-2 in the third-place match to win bronze –Team Nigeria’s only medal at Rio 2016.

the players and officials of the Dream Team VI arrived at the Murtala
Muhammed International Airport at about 8:30pm of Monday.
The contingent was welcomed by an excited crowd who was eager to see their bronze-winning Olympic heroes.
Several members of the team like John Mikel Obi and William Troost-Ekong had travelled straight to their bases in Europe from Brazil.
12 players and seven officials of the Dream Team arrived Lagos and are lodged at the Sheraton Hotel.
The Dream Team VI played six matches in Rio 2016, winning four and losing two.
