The Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr has confirmed that he is expecting the duo of Alex Iwobi andOghenekaro Etebo in his squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zambia.
Iwobi missed out on the Super Eagles squad for the dead rubber2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Tanzania over the weekend while Etebo is still nursing an injury he got at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Their forms have however impressed Rohr who has confirmed that he is looking to include them in his squad for the crucial World Cup qualifiers against Zambia.
“We need to look at the player in Arsenal (Iwobi) and the player who scored four goals in a match at the Olympics (Etebo),” Rohr is quoted to say by FC Naija.
Nigeria are in group B of the 2018 World Cup qualifying series with Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia.
